Emily and Jacob’s love story is one of dedication and a serious love for adventure. After meeting in college, they took on the challenge of a 2.5-year long-distance relationship—even living on separate continents for part of it! But, as they’ll tell you, the wait was well worth it, and now they’re finally living together, engaged, and ready for the next chapter. So naturally, their engagement shoot had to be as special as their journey.

For the first stop, we met up at Layered Croissanterie in downtown Raleigh, where they go for a monthly date to indulge in some truly amazing pastries. This spot gave us the perfect cozy vibes (and delicious croissants!) to start their session. It’s always fun when couples bring a personal touch to their engagement photos by including a favorite date spot.

After warming up with coffee and croissants, we headed to JC Raulston Arboretum to capture the outdoor spirit that Emily and Jacob love so much. This garden has it all, from intimate gazebos to lush greenery, making it a dreamy backdrop for romantic engagement photos.
